Pain therapeutics startup Wholeleaf is in advanced talks to raise Rs 7.5 crore in a fresh funding round from institutional investors IPV and Benzai 10 Capital.

Earlier this year, the Gurugram-based startup secured Rs 1.5 crore in a seed round from investors on Shark Tank India, including Aman Gupta, Kanika Tekriwal and Namita Thapar and prior to that, it raised another Rs 3.5 crore from ah! Ventures and angel investors. The company has raised Rs 5 crore to date. The proceeds will be deployed towards accelerating expanding offline retail presence, strengthening product development, scaling distribution, and enhancing brand visibility across online and offline channels.

Wholeleaf claims that it has a presence across nearly 2,000 retail outlets, primarily in the Delhi-NCR region, and plans to expand to 5,000–7,000 outlets this year. The company is targeting deeper penetration across tier I and tier II cities including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Goa and Chennai.

“We are raising this round at a crucial juncture of the business, where the focus is on both, growth and building sustainable product infrastructure for scale. In a category like pain therapeutics, future success hinges on regulatory discipline, medical trust and distribution depth, and that is exactly what we are building for over the next phase of growth,” said Shivraj Sharma, founder and CEO, Wholeleaf.
