In this article, we will discuss the brand OLL, its services, founder, and how it has changed the edtech industry.
About Founder & The Vision behind OLL:
OLL has been founded by Shreyaan Daga. He took the biggest risk of his life at the age of 15. He left his house and began giving away all his possessions en route, including his watch, wallet, and other basic items and ultimately, after giving his bicycle to a less fortunate youngster, he took it and uttered these exact words: "Bhaiya Mera sapna poora ho gaya."
He founded OLL after realizing that children lacked access to chances and exposure despite having a lot of talent. He was aware of the shortcomings of the current educational system firsthand and set out to design a platform that would enable students to acquire real world skills.
“When I was 8 years old, I started my entrepreneurship journey, selling my paintings. My first income was ₹9,000. In 7th grade, I did an internship in the stock market. In 9th grade, I started giving out loans at 45% to 50% interest,” Daga said on the second season of Shark Tank India.
Shreyaan Daga's brainchild, OLL (One Life Learning), aims to revolutionize the education system by providing a dynamic and personalized learning experience to students. Daga's journey began with his own struggles within the traditional education system, which failed to cater to individual learning styles and passions. Determined to make a difference, he embarked on a mission to transform education into a more engaging and impactful journey. At the heart of OLL's approach lies the recognition that every individual is unique, with distinct learning preferences and aspirations. Daga's platform leverages cutting-edge technology, including artificial intelligence and machine learning, to create a tailor-made learning path for each student. By analyzing a student's strengths, weaknesses, interests, and goals, OLL ensures that the learning experience is both effective and enjoyable.
Including the four co-founders, seven permanent members and 2000 teachers, OLL currently has 2000+ members. Shreyaan's parents, Vidushi and Sudarshan Daga, formed the Mumbai based edtech venture Clone Futura, which currently runs the business.

Shark Tank India Pitch & Funding:
Daga's appearance on 'Shark Tank India Season 2' was nothing short of remarkable. With poise and confidence that belied his age, he articulated his vision for OLL and left the panel of seasoned Sharks astounded. Daga's passionate pitch, backed by the impressive growth and user engagement statistics of OLL, captured the attention of every Shark on the show. With his business savvy and entrepreneurial spirit, Shreyaan Daga, one of the younger competitors on Shark Tank India Season 2, made a lasting impression on the judges. Peyush Bansal (Co-Founder & CEO, Lenskart.com) and Vineeta Singh (Co-Founder & CEO, Sugar Cosmetics) gave Rs. 30 lakh for 5% ownership after a few Sharks withdrew owing to scaling issues. When Daga, then 18 years old, started his online learning startup, OLL. Daga said that while everything went well during his time on the show, he still believes he could have performed better. His school and teachers have shown overwhelming support for him, with the principal even referring to him as the "next Ambani." The Sharks were quick to recognize the disruptive potential of OLL in the education sector. They were intrigued using technology to create a more personalized and impactful learning journey. Each Shark saw the immense value in Daga's platform, not just as a business opportunity, but to transform the lives of countless students.

He informed the judges on Shark Tank India that his portal brought in over Rs 2 crore turnover in just two years. He started the platform when he was 16 years old, borrowing Rs 2 lakh from his father and quitting school to concentrate on his business. Vineeta Singh, the CEO of Sugar Cosmetics, asked Daga whether he would sell his business to companies like Byju’s and Unacademy. Daga said that he wouldn't give up until he had 1 billion students using his platform. Then, when discussing his goals, he stated, "Buying Byju’s or Unacademy is one of the milestones (I want to reach)." The businessman's presentation and responses on the Shark Tank stage impressed the judges, even though he did not specify how he intended to do that. The competition is progressively vanishing, according to Daga. There aren't many funds accessible in the market right now.
In the end, Peyush Bansal and Vineeta Singh chose to finance his venture. His shrewd decision-making and unwavering commitment to OLL's mission ultimately led to a strategic partnership with two of the Sharks. The deal not only provided the much-needed financial injection but also offered invaluable mentorship and guidance.
